MEET OUR ARTISTS
13a New Street Art Gallery has only been established for one year and has attracted attention from all walks of life. Also successively and many parts of the world. New and potential artists co-organize an exhibition. Including: Mr Likey from the United States, Aaron Craig from Australia and Arol from Argentina. Each exhibition also attracted a lot of people to visit, and even an unprecedented scene appeared. People had to wait outside to enter the venue. Created a new scene for Hong Kong's art world. However, our most important purpose is to find some young artists and collectors to provide them with a suitable platform.
ALFRED CHENG
Alfred Cheng is a thread art artist based in Hong Kong. A self-taught artist recreates iconic portraits by weaving a single thread around hundreds of metal nails. He believes perfection simply doesn’t exist. When only with things that are truly loved, can one achieve the “imperfect culmination”. Cheng is committed to breaking the invisible boundary that lies between art and science, instead, he wants to merge them into a coexisting being and give artworks a new definition. To the surprise of some, Cheng ‘s academic background was not at all artistic, having completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition in Melbourne. His passion for art came intrinsically, and there is a sense of purity in Cheng ‘s pathos.
